It’s 420 calories of fish for $3.99.
Carl’s Jr. (known as Hardee’s in the East) is launching what it calls the first “charbroiled” Atlantic cod fish sandwich available nationwide.
“People are ready for lighter fare as long as they don’t have to sacrifice flavor,” said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s in a press release.
Carl’s Jr. has recruited numerous celebrities to promote its sandwiches over the years, including Kim Kardashian, Padma Lakshmi and Kate Upton.
This year Nina Agdal, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2012 “Rookie of the Year,” will be promoting the cod in the ad campaign.
