As we reported on Casual Munch, Carl’s Jr/Hardee’s has caught up with health-conscious customers by launching its new “charbroiled” Atlantic cod fish sandwich and big Super Bowl ad campaign starring model Nina Agdal.
Not to be outdone, McDonald’s announced this week that it will roll out its Fish McBites across the country. Chains often launch fish products during Lent, when Catholics avoid meat.
The McBites are even available in its Happy Meals, which is the first time in a while kids have had options besides chicken and beef.
McDonald’s claims the McBites are made from “wild-caught Alaskan Pollock.”
